Our world is filled with grids and how we accept them might be the question of our existence.

In the heart of most major cities like New York, the New Yorker survives primarily on a grid. In the heart of the wilderness, the wild calls and one who resides in nature is mostly living aka off the grid. But can any human ever really exist without any sort of grid? What does a grid provide to humankind, whether it be in the big apple or flora and fauna?

A grid is defined as, “a system of lines used to find the location of any place on the surface of earth.”  On our earth we have a grid system and within that system there are lines of latitude and longitude. These grid systems serve the greater good of humanity and the eco system for many important reasons.

Whether one lives on the grid or off the grid there is one thing in common....and that is connection.

If you are living within the hustle and bustle of the big apple, the grid system there was designed to be efficient and simple to navigate but it was also designed for another purpose, how people rub shoulders. While in New York, one can rub a lot of shoulders.

If you are roughing it in nature and off the grid, you may not be rubbing shoulders with humans, but you are probably rubbing elbows with your peaceful surroundings. The wilderness may not have a tangible grid like the grid lines you may see in a city, but it is still a part of an intangible grid, and our grids found in nature have curved how we manifest notions into design.

Without the intangible grids of nature there would be no tangible grids of life. All grid systems serve a purpose and that is connection. Connection to nature brings connection to our self. Connection within our self allows connection to other human beings and a higher purpose. Only within a connection can manifestation arise. We are born to be connected to life and to a purpose. Without it, creation cannot exist. And without it, can humans exist?

Longitude is defined as, “the east or west position” while latitude is defined as, “the north or south position” Eventually either position crosses an invisible line. Regardless, these positions are life’s meridians. Within life we will encompass our own meridian but without the grid there can be no passage of energy to generate the connection we need survive.

Through our lifetime we are meant to cross many paths and have much relevance. Without relationship, whether it be with ourselves or others one would not exist. Without the existing grids or meridians of life we would probably not have pathways of a different existence. These invisible crossroads serve an especially important purpose, that is the connection point to our existence and evolution.

So, if you LOVE the big apple find the value in the specifically designed grid it can serve as a passage to an unbelievably valuable purpose, human connection. If you are in LOVE with nature, feel the special connection found within natures grid. Either connection is equally valuable, it is part of the grid to your life.

Winter is the time year where the world freezes and our society becomes immobilized. Everything that surrounds us becomes cold, snowy and icy.

In the season of frigid not only does the outside world ice over, sometimes the inner world gets stuck in its coldness. Life's challenges sometimes catch us off guard, when this happens we are defenseless. In that defenselessness we are unable to react making us frozen like medusa's statues.

Bitter conditions can arrive at anytime and stay as long as they want. Life's triggers can also bring ice storms and freezing conditions. We are naturally chilly in the winter but we freeze when we are threatened. The fear of how long the harsh winter will last, can create irrational thoughts but the fear of being lost in the barrens can immobilize us.

Just know at the end of the deep freeze there is always a thaw. Keep faith that underneath the icy surface that life is still exist. We stay in doors to stay toasty warm and to survive when its biting outside. Our souls hibernate in our hub when we are numb but we are still vibrating. The world will still triumph through harsh conditions and life will still evolve during the winter hibernation. The warmth will come and the ice will melt. With the warmth everything softens.

As the roots feel the hue colors cast over their lush green leafs, the roots quiver in the cold hard ground. For they know what time of year it is, its a time to fall.

As the branches feel the nights get colder on their stiff limbs, they try not shake because the branches know its time for their lush leaves to let go and its time to fall.

As the trunk feels the ground freeze, the heart of the sap saddens and it knows it will be another season before the water thaw. The sap is already thirsty for the flow once again.

As the bark feels summer breeze transition to the harvest air, it toughens to protect the source within over the hardness of the next season to come.

As the twigs feel the change of the season, they tremble in fear worrying if they are strong enough to survive if they fall.

As the canopy feels the sunlight shorten, the crown remains open to the change of the season. As it knows its time to shed before hibernation. The crest embraces the fall and keeps faith in letting go of all that was in the past season. It will stay present during the opportunity of hibernation for there are many more jewels for the crown during this time. It will love the bud inside and allow it to remain hopeful that spring will bring their bloom.

As the elements change through all the seasons, a tree will always remain whole. It needs each time of year to survive. The spring to bud, the summer to bloom, The fall to shed and the winter to hibernate. One season leads into the growth of another. But when the fall is among the entire tree the beauty of the shedding process, emulates through cast of the vibrant colors and the love for its self is in the letting go. A time to fall is the catalyst to rebirth.
