A Time to Fall

As the roots feel the hue colors cast over their lush green leafs, the roots quiver in the cold hard ground. For they know what time of year it is, its a time to fall.
As the branches feel the nights get colder on their stiff limbs, they try not shake because the branches know its time for their lush leaves to let go and its time to fall.
As the trunk feels the ground freeze, the heart of the sap saddens and it knows it will be another season before the water thaw. The sap is already thirsty for the flow once again.
As the bark feels summer breeze transition to the harvest air, it toughens to protect the source within over the hardness of the next season to come.
As the twigs feel the change of the season, they tremble in fear worrying if they are strong enough to survive if they fall.
As the canopy feels the sunlight shorten, the crown remains open to the change of the season. As it knows its time to shed before hibernation. The crest embraces the fall and keeps faith in letting go of all that was in the past season. It will stay present during the opportunity of hibernation for there are many more jewels for the crown during this time. It will love the bud inside and allow it to remain hopeful that spring will bring their bloom.
As the elements change through all the seasons, a tree will always remain whole. It needs each time of year to survive. The spring to bud, the summer to bloom, The fall to shed and the winter to hibernate. One season leads into the growth of another. But when the fall is among the entire tree the beauty of the shedding process, emulates through cast of the vibrant colors and the love for its self is in the letting go. A time to fall is the catalyst to rebirth.
